Munching and Rainbows

The day after Cooper's birthday, we went to Kneader's for breakfast (SERIOUSLY, TRY THEIR FRENCH TOAST!!!), then took it to the Lindon park to eat. Cooper calls it the "Rainbow Park" because of the slide pictured below. We had lots of fun!

Khyler is such a good helper with Xander! She loves this boy!

Here's another one of Khy helping Xander have fun. He LOVES the swings!

Here's Cooper "catching" Khy and Xander. That's my big 6-yr-old!

Finally, Kate on the rainbow slide, proud of herself for going down the slide so well. :)

I LOVE MY KIDDOS! I'm SO grateful they're mine!

"Dinosaur" Faces

Jason went out of town this weekend, so I put the kiddos to bed myself. Because it was Cooper's birthday, we decided to take some silly pictures. I need to warn you, there are people who SERIOUSLY hate my dinosaur face. I think it's hilarious, and so do my kids. This is their attempts to do my famous (or infamous) face. ENJOY!

We're getting sealed!!!!

Jason and I found out about a week ago that we get to be sealed together for eternity! We are SOOOOOO excited! We also get to have Xander sealed to us, and all the kids get to come watch! Kate has asked me everyday, "Mommy, how many sleeps until we get to be sealed in the temple? I can't wait for Xander to be married to us!" It's fetching ADORABLE! I don't know how much she understands as a 4-yr old, but I am so happy that she's excited for it.

Here is what I get to have FOREVER:

Thanks to Jeff Mortensen for taking our pictures!!

Xander's birthday

I told you so. I'm terrible at keeping up with a blog. It's been almost 2 months since my tiny, wonderful boy turned 1, and I'm JUST getting around to blogging it. Be that as it may, I'm blogging it now, so I still feel okay about myself. :)

Xander's birthday was small and quiet. Just the way I like it! The children were extremely excited, and therefore, not quiet, but it was cute.

Sadie was so excited to be in this video of Xander eating his cake, and it's really funny, so watch it if you want:

He got clothes from Angie, Tammy, Scott McCune, and books from Grandma and Grandpa Nyman. Thank you all! He needed those things! Here are some pictures from the smaller celebration we had at my mom's and then the bigger party we had here.

 Clothes from Aunt Tammy!
His very first ice cream cone! He thinks everyone else eats it upside down...
CUTE, happy boy in his new outfit!
 Loves to Uncle Scotto!
Touch and feel book from Grandma and Grandpa!
New jacket from Uncle Scott. I LOVE this picture!
New church clothes from Aunt Angie and Uncle Spence!
Mama and Daddy got him a new toy so he might want to walk. It didn't work. :)
My favorite people in the whole world!  Love you!

Xander

Xander's first birthday is in less than 2 weeks now. I can't believe how big he is! He is crawling EVERYWHERE, climbing and descending stairs, pulling himself up on furniture and walking along it, getting into every single thing he isn't supposed to, and generally just never stops moving. He is the happiest kid I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and nearly every picture taken of him captures his gorgeous smile and beautiful blue eyes. One of his favorite things right now is to babble and growl. It's so fetching cute. He seems to think he's communicating, so we growl and babble back. :) He says mama a lot, and dada and 'hi' sometimes. He loves his siblings like crazy, and they can get him to laugh more than anyone. Except for his cousin Sadie, who seems to be hilarious to Xander at all times. Xander's cousin, Afton, loves him more than life itself, and she's never stopped grabbing, hugging, loving, touching, talking, sharing sicknesses, from the moment she saw him. It's adorable. Jason and I feel so incredibly blessed to have him in our life. We didn't know he was coming, but Heavenly Father knew we needed him. :)

I'm SO not good at this...

Hello, followers. I just realized how important blogging is recently, thanks to my sister Angie. She reminded me that I blogged about my daughter Kate, and as I looked through the pictures and stories I'd forgotten, I decided I couldn't put this off anymore. Xander will thank me one day. :) I'm going to do my best, but I'm really horrible with journaling, blogging, etc. I will try, but you'll be lucky to get a post every month. So here goes....
